Interupted Byzantine Bracelet / Necklace

This Chainmaille is made in an interrupted Byzantine Weave from brilliant, food grade 18 gauge Stainless Steel in 3 sizes.
Chainmaille is an ancient process, build each piece by hand, one link at a time with just a pair of pliers, a ton of patience & time.

Modeled my Oatie, my attitude ridden Quaker parrot. Shown with matching earrings (a separate listing).

This weave is 5/16" wide & can be custom ordered in another length.
I may need time to order more jump rings & make your chain if it's longer ;)

Companion parrots often die from heavy metal toxicity due to playing with jewelry. (keys & makeup brushes,too!). It's known that jewelry components can be high enough in lead & cadmium to be toxic to children, but in my research I discovered that even high quality jewelry components contain zinc, copper, lead & tin - all of which are toxic to parrots. Most jewelry components are brought in from China with no MSDS sheets to check what is in the material. Even with 304 and 316 stainless steel parts!
I spent an entire year sourcing out 304 stainless steel and food grade aluminum made in north america with MSDS sheets to confirm they are free from dangerous heavy metals to protect our flocks :)
